LÂ’APPARTEMENT -
Deux pièces : 40 m2, confortable, facile à vivre, il a été refait en 2012. Il y a une chambre pour 2 personnes avec un lit de 140X190cm et une autre pièce qui comprend : une cuisine moderne, la salle à manger et une partie living-room avec un bon canapé-lit facile à ouvrir, cette pièce peut être séparée en deux (si vous avez besoin du canapé lit) par des paravents ce qui permet une intimité comme une deuxième chambre. Plancher de chêne dans les deux pièces. Les deux portes fenêtres donnant sur la place piétonne sont bien isolées par un double vitrage phonique et thermique. La salle d’eau est composée d’une douche, d’un WC et d’un lavabo. Il y a une climatisation réversible (été/hiver) et des radiateurs électriques.
L’immeuble est tranquille. L’appartement est idéal pour une ou deux personnes. Je n’accepte pas plus de deux personnes.
LÂ’EMPLACEMENT
Au cœur du centre-ville. Au deuxième étage, petit immeuble populaire bien entretenu, interphone. Les portes fenêtres et les balcons donnent sur une grande place méditerranéenne, des platanes, un kiosque à musique, une fontaine, des cafés restaurants avec leurs terrasses installées sur une partie, mais qui ferment vers 21h. C’est une zone piétonne.
A proximité jusqu’à 200 mètres : le grand canal, les halles, la médiathèque, la poste, le cinéma beaucoup de commerces, boulangeries, cavistes… Monoprix, Franprix, boulangeries, cavistes… Le centre-ville est très habité, par une population mélangée.
En 10 minutes à pied : Le MIAM, le théâtre (Scène Nationale) la gare SNCF (bus N° 1), la gare maritime, le marché aux puces du samedi.
En bus, en auto, à vélo : les plages, le musée Paul Valery, le théâtre de la mer…
Parking payant aux Halles et dans les rues avoisinantes, parking gratuit en marchant 10 mn.
SETE
C'est un grand port de pêche et c’est aussi d’ici que partent les bateaux pour le Maroc. La ville est pleine de canaux qui relient la mer avec un grand étang intérieur consacré à l'ostréiculture. C'est une ville populaire ou les gens sont sympathiques. Il y a des musées, beaucoup de festivals et de fêtes traditionnelles, en particulier en août. Les plages sont accessibles en bus, le départ est à 5 minutes de mon appartement, ou à bicyclette qui peuvent être louées et stockées la nuit en bas de l’immeuble.
APARTEMENT IN A CHARMING CITY IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE
In the centre of the old town of Sete, the 2nd floor apartment is in a well maintained building with intercom. French doors and balconies overlook the "Esplanade", and a Mediterranean square with plane trees aflutter with parakeets from Barcelona, a bandstand, fountain, restaurants and cafes with terraces in a pedestrian zone. The entrance to the building is located between two terraces.
The flat was renovated in 2012 and is both comfortable and practical, measuring 40 m2 with one bedroom, kitchen/living room and bathroom. Oak flooring in the two rooms gives the flat a warm feeling. The French windows are well insulated.
The bedroom is furnished with a bed 140X190cm, a wardrobe and a small writing desk.
The flat includes: a well-appointed kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven, electric induction cooker, kettle, toaster and tableware), dining and living room area with a comfortable easy-open sofa bed and cupboard with shelves; this part of the room can be screened off for privacy with tall moveable Japanese screens.
The bathroom fittings are a sunny yellow, consisting of a shower, toilet, electric water heater and a wash basin.
Air conditioning has been fitted for comfort in both summer and winter. There are also electric heaters which take up to 4 hours to give maximum heat.
There is a Wi-Fi connection and Ethernet cable, small screen and speaker which you can connect to the USB port of your computer to listen to your music, or watch TV over the internet.
The building is quiet, the neighbors are nice. I have someone who looks after the apartment when I'm not there who will make sure the place is clean before your arrival and after your departure.
The apartment is only for one or two people, and cannot accommodate more.
SETE is a major fishing port and it is from here that ferries leave for Morocco. The city is full of canals linking the sea to a lake devoted to oyster farming. It is a vibrant town with friendly people. There are museums, festivals and traditional celebrations, especially in August. The beaches are accessible by bus (the stop is 5 minutes from the apartment), or you can hire bicycles which can be stored overnight in front of the building beneath the mailboxes.
ROUND AND ABOUT APARTMENT
3 minute walk: the “Royal canal”, a covered market every morning except Mondays, a library, post office, cinema, banks, a wide range of shops, bakeries, off-licences... Every Wednesday there is a big market on the square in front of the building.
10 minute walk: MIAM (International Museum of Everyday Art), a theatre (National Stage), train station (and bus No. 1), the ferry terminal, a flea market on Saturdays and walkways.
By bus, car, or bike: the beaches, the Paul Valery museum, a Theatre over the sea ...
Car park: the Halles (200m) and free parking in the surrounding streets.
